Well, so much for the iPod.

Today, I saw that Garmin introduced a new product line, the GPSMAP 60 series. Among the new units is the GPSMAP 60CS, which as a colour display, functions that are specific to Geocaching and (finally!) a USB connection.

Within about 10 minutes of discovering this new model, I put in my order for one with GPS Central Canada.

Even though it is scheduled for delivery in Q1 2004, it will serve as my Christmas present this year.

I might still get myself a Light Meter (a Sekonic L-508) but at this point I'll be happy with the shiny new GPS receiver.
