Dog

I want a dog. I have wanted a dog for years, but I live in an apartment that doesn't allow pets.

I'd move, but it's a great apartment for the price and the location is just right for me.

But should I get a dog, I am starting to round down my desired breeds:

Lakeland Terrier
This is breed I think I want to get. A little small, but very bright and energetic. Not as spastic as a Jack Russell, but still a lot of fun.

Irish Terrier
I just discovered this breed after searching around for other dogs. They are a little stubbier, but apparently quite a fun little breed.

Spriger Spaniel
I have had little experience with them, but they are a handsome breed that seems to work well in a city environment.

Retriever
Not sure what kind of Retriever, but I like playing fetch and they need little or no training to play this game well. Size is a consideration for me though. Not sure I could commit to a dog so large.

Aussie Blue Heeler
I used to work with a dog named D-fer (D fer dog) who was kinda ugly, but a great companion. He wasn't the brightest dog in the show, but he was fun to have around.

Border Collie
Okay, this is my dream dog but I just couldn't do it. Sadly, these highly intelligent dogs are misunderstood by people who go out and buy them, not realizing what kind of effort is required to keep the dog happy. Check your local SPCA, many of them end up there. Maybe when I retire, or buy a sheep farm.
