Nightmare

Last night, I dreamt about a quiet point that I discovered near the West Side of Vancouver to watch the annual Symphony of Fire. I drove my car out onto the grassy promenance, delighted in the fact that I was the only person to have found this secret spot.

I remember seeing the fireworks and thinking about people I know... friends, family, workmates.

When I turned around to leave, I saw the houses in the area were fully engulfed in flames. I could hear people calling out desperately for help.

I couldn't get to them because the flames were simply too hot. I tried to run... to get away, but my car wouldn't start and the only way out was blocked by a huge wall of fire.

I was frozen in panic and overcome with grief as I could hear the plaintive calls of people trapped in the inferno.

They were calling my name.
