This site has been built a bunch of different ways over the years. Starting in 1994, I used to manually edit the pages and FTP them. I discovered pre-Google Blogger in 1999, I even bought the Pro Blogger option for a couple of years. Next, I moved to Movable Type, and most recently Wordpress. Now, I’m giving Jekyll a try.
Jekyll is an exercise in fun. It’s easy to edit pages, so long as you are familiar with Markdown and aren’t scared of the command line.
Edit your config file, customize your templates, and you can build your pages any way you want.
I don’t know much yet, but I’m having a good time playing around with it.
