CK 1st Home Match: 2 -2

In their first match at home the Cawdor Kings drew even with the Bad News Beavers to complete the match at 2 - 2.

The game opened with Andy Cooper scoring for the Kings in the 12th minute.

The next two goals were scored by the Beavers, setting them up on the home team 2 - 1, which is how the first hald ended.

Star Player James Durward drew the home team even in the 56th minute with a dash down the middle.

Although the Beavers had some glorious chamces, no further attempts were successful against keeper Ron Bilson.

Attendance was a total sellout of 7,000 with outsiders calling for more seats. So, at the opening ceremonies, the owner announced that he will be expanding the stadium by 400 covered seats and 200 VIP viewing boxes.
