Web Development is how I make my living. I get paid by my employer to know how web sites function from a technical perspective, including hardware, web servers, operating systems, scripting, programming and applications.
Luckily, I happen to enjoy what I do, and consume a lot of information about the various subjects that make up the field of Web Development.
I’d like to use this site to discuss some of the ideas surrounding Web Development, but I haven’t formed an idea of how I would like to do that yet. For now, I have notes that I would like to capture on the following:
- XFN - XHTML Friends Network
- XHTML 2 Specification
- CSS3 Specification (particularly the Advanced Layout module)
- Microformats (also: some required microformats reading, the associated microformats wiki)
- Web Patterns (also: required web patterns reading)
- Semantic coding (also: coding questions in the SimpleQuiz)
- Blogging, Content Management and Community tools
- Browser developments
Hopefully I’ll find the time to add some content to these areas and take part in the discussions going on currently in these areas.
